Stir-fried brussels sprouts

A delicious way to serve a much maligned winter vegetable ;-)

500 grams Brussels brussels sprouts *
1 tablespoon olive oil
crushed garlic (quantity to taste)
1 onion, diced
2 tablespoons soy sauce (or tamari if you prefer to avoid gluten)
sesame seeds

Wash and trim sprouts, and cut each one into four or five slices lengthwise. Heat oil in pan, and cook onion and garlic for 2 to 3 minutes. Add sprouts and sesame seeds and stir-fry for 3 to 4 minutes ... the sprouts should still been green and crisp. Sprinkle with soy sauce (or tamari) and serve hot. Serves two as a main course or four as a side dish.

* I spelled this word with a capital 'B' at first, but according to Bryson's Dictionary for Writers and Editors no capital is required. We learn new things every day!
